Yes dears it is a question that has been haunting my mind for quite some time now. I know all you fans of the comedy show, are also being bothered by the same question. The series Pushing Daisies, which at one time was highly appreciated for standing out as a unique show amongst the similar types of shows on television, is now faced with an uncertain future. Though nothing has been confirmed yet, it is heartbreaking for us fans to imagine our favorite show going off air for good. Some people say that the show has not been doing well for a long time now, with the ratings going down very steeply after the first season. However, I fiercely disagree with them. In my opinion it is a great show and can be made even better with little efforts.

The series wooed the audiences with its original idea of Ned being able to make dead people alive for a minute, The rib tickling comedy, the fantastic performances of the actors as well as the romantic background of the story all worked together to create a magic during the two seasons of the series. The series has made us cry both with laughter as well as emotion. I wish that ABC Network, which is currently airing the series, would rethink about canceling the show. Let us all pray that the news turns out to be rumors turn out to be all false and we get to see many more episodes of Pushing Daisies.

What can be the definition of love?

Pushing Daisies defines it. Ned and Chuck- they’re the ones who love each other but who can’t touch each other. Can you ever imagine living, without touching the one, whom you love from the core of your heart? Well, I think I can’t. It’s the touch only which helps you to describe how much you care about the person in front.

So, I must appreciate Lee and Anna- how brilliantly they both perform their respective characters. Lee Pace represents Ned, a pie maker with an ability to bring the dead back to life with the power of his touch. Anna Friel portrays Chuck, Ned’s beloved. She has been dead but is resurrected by Ned through his touch. Here’s the actual twist…. Ned loves her and she loves him but they can’t touch each other. If Ned will ever touch her, she’ll die once again, permanently. What an imaginative concept …….. the only one of its type!

‘Pushing Daisies’ features elaborate scenes which help to make it much like a feature film and it has also won several Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Really, Ned-Chuck couple is my favorite couple and yesterday I came across their interview given to some private channel. So, I just thought to share it with you guys. Here’re some extracts of the interview.

When they’re asked about how do they express love to each other, bearing in mind that you can’t touch? Anna replied, “It’s all about the eyes. I look into those lovely dreamy eyes (of Lee’s) and it’s not that hard”. Lee’s response was, “It gives us something to play with”.

The next question was very stimulating. They’re asked, In real Life, how much of a touch person you’re? Anna said, “I’m really tactile” whereas Lee uttered, “I sometime have a hard time getting close to people”. Many more questions were asked and were replied and if I’ll start writing all, it will become ‘excessively large post’… so, would have to skip that.

Okay buddies… I think, we can learn ‘pure love’ from ‘Pushing Daisies’…. That’s what every teenager needs.

I am very desperate for Pushing Daisies and it is pretty difficult for my kinda fan to wait this long. So these previews and footages display thing at comic con is definitely a treat for me. I am fanatic towards the right show, as it has bagged twelve Emmy Award nominations this year, including writing direction, lead actor and supporting actress. So you can say twelve members of the cast and crew have definitely a bright career ahead and Pushing Daisies will remain as a golden star in their profiles forever. I am sure the show is excellent to that extent that people will remember it for decades. Actually the theme is able to clasp the interest for longer because of presenting an unbelievable fiction in a comic and convincing style. This is the art of a writer and that’s why Bryan Fuller is deserving nominee for Emmy Award. Anyways now the show is coming back in October on screen so they guys gifted a little chunk for audiences. You know I read on buddy tv that at comic con Pushing Daisies got tremendous response at penal comparatively to the previews of other shows. You know on public demand, Kristin Chenoweth sang the number ‘Somewhere over the rainbow’. That’s a melodious song, have you heard that?

In season two we will find her singing one more soul soothing song ‘Eternal Flame’. In fact Kristin and Ellen Greene have background in musical theatres so Fuller has taken full advantage of them. The music in the coming season of Pushing Daisies is really gonna make your heart beat fast, exactly like ‘Hopelessly devoted to you’ in dummy.

Moreover, the new season will now concentrate more upon Olive and the aunts. Olive will be seen in nunnery. There will be new dead men too waiting for Ned to touch them and bring back to life.

As per the reviews and comments from the show creators, the show seems to become extremely funny in the second season. Good for us who are waiting with patience. I am killing my time in watching season one every weekend.

Pushing Daisies has successfully completed season 1 and season 2 ( download them here ) has been confirmed by the network. Man! I’m crazy about this upcoming season.

So, get ready for Pushing Daisies season 2.

However, no official announcements have been made by the network but its’ sure that Season 2 will be back and I’ll b back with some more spicy news about star cast and upcoming episodes.

Well, thanks to that Supreme Being and writers, as the strike is now over and all the shows are trickling back to air. At the Paley Festival, I can’t explain how magical it was to watch the complete Pushing Daisies crew and cast, it was not a farewell party , it was a greet to great Pushing Daisies fans who’re anticipating season 2. Participating on the panel at the event were: Bryan Fuller (Creator), Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen (Producers), Peter Ocko (writer), and your fav Ned, Chuck, Olive, Aunt Vivian, and Emerson Cod. Well, the writing staff is back to work and we’re hoping for a complete second season this fall.

Bryan Fuller said, “We got to look back over the first season to see what worked and what didn’t work”. The Season One arc was more of a soft romance, and we want to do something harder–a more aggressive style of storytelling–in the second season. I think we learned a lot of lessons.” What to expect in second season? May be, chuck will be find out who’s her real mom and something exciting about Emerson’s missing daughter and many many more surprises.
