Kenneth “Chi” McBride, a.k.a. Chi McBride is a very popular American actor. He took birth in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in the Seventh day Adventist Church and joined Shiloh Academy. At 16, McBride received his graduation from high school. Initially, he decided to make a career in music industry. In 1986, he moved to Atlanta to work for AT&T as a billing clerk.

Making his name popular in show business was the hit song ‘He’s the Champ’. It made him so famous that Esquire records signed with him and he joined the rhythm and blues band ‘Covert’. With a dream to try his hands in acting, McBride moved to Los Angeles. Soon, he made guest appearances on Fox Network’s ‘In Living Color’ and NBC’s ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’. He also made a featured performance on the TV movie ‘Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation’.

In 1988, McBride appeared in Mercury Rising as a co-star beside Bruce Willis. On the hit series ‘Boston Public’, he portrayed the role of Principal Steven Harper.
